The “Persian Folk and Fusion” project was held in 2023 through three concerts hosted by Café Kausal in Düsseldorf. Supported by Landesmusikrat and Café Kausal, and attended by enthusiastic Iranian and German audiences, this event showcased a creative fusion of traditional Iranian music and modern fusion styles.

Each concert featured performances of authentic melodies using traditional Iranian instruments, combined with rhythmic and modern innovations, providing a unique and exceptional experience for the audience. This project not only introduced the richness of Iranian music to a new generation but also built a bridge between Iranian and German cultures.

“Persian Folk and Fusion” was a successful example of reimagining traditional music for international audiences, presenting the authenticity of Iranian art in a fresh and innovative way. The concerts were widely received and created an unforgettable experience for all participants.

For this project, I joined several other women who had similar experiences, aiming to give strength and solidarity to women facing heart problems. We wanted to show that these stitches are signs of resilience and rebirth.

The photographer of the project, Christian Steinmetz with his artistic perspective, captured the beauty and strength of femininity alongside these scars. The photos from this project were displayed in a gallery and continue to host new women with their remarkable stitches.

This project is an effort to change perspectives and embrace our scars as part of our identity.
