KIOSK BAND

Kiosk is a pioneering Iranian rock band formed in 2003 by Arash Sobhani in Tehran. After censorship and restrictions imposed by Iranian authorities, the band members emigrated to the United States and Canada. Since then, the band has toured worldwide and released eight albums.

Arash has been involved in various projects, particularly as the leader of Kiosk, whose lyrics and melodies offer an honest opportunity for self-reflection in a society where nearly seventy percent of the population is under thirty. This music especially appeals to younger generations of the diaspora who have yet to visit their home countries.

Kiosk’s concert was held for the first time on September 29, 2024, in Düsseldorf at the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus. The concert was met with a great response and provided an opportunity for the band’s fans in Düsseldorf to connect with the unpretentious music of the group, which describes a society caught between East and West.

This concert was held with the support of the Düsseldorf Department of Culture.
