STRONG VOICES

The first concert of the “Strong Voices” project took place in 2022 at Zakk Düsseldorf. The goal of this project was to support women whose voices are banned in their countries. The event addressed the challenges faced by women in various countries and emphasized the obstacles they must overcome in the fields of art and sports.

This concert was attended by 400 guests and supported by governmental institutions such as the Department of Culture, the State Music Council (Landesmusikrat), and several other authorities in Düsseldorf.

In addition to the concert, an art gallery featuring paintings by Ms. Neda Jamali was also showcased, adding a visual and emotional depth to the event.

The concert began with speeches by Ms. Miriam Koch, Head of the Department of Culture in Düsseldorf, and Yalda Yazdani, a renowned ethnomusicologist. They highlighted the challenges faced by women in countries where their voices and artistic expressions are restricted. Their speeches emphasized the importance of cultural initiatives like this concert in raising awareness and creating opportunities for women to reclaim their voices and identities.

The performers of the evening, Ms. Naeimeh Rezaei and Fatima Adeli, captivated the audience with nostalgic songs in Persian and German, creating unforgettable moments. This event significantly contributed to drawing attention to women’s rights and raising awareness about the unjust restrictions placed on them.
